TRAVEL GUIDE TO ASIA
This is your ultimate travel guide to Asia!
Asia is my favorite continent, where I would go over and over. It is so diverse, so full of history, cultural diversity, paradisiaque landscape, and scenery you never see elsewhere.
Asia has a very strong culture and every country is so diverse, with impressive natural or human-made wonders that will capture your attention even if you haven’t yet been there. The cuisine is something worth spending 20h on a plain just to get there. It’s not only memorable, but it’s also heart-breakingly painful, once you leave the continent.
Asia is comprised of 49 countries, containing two of the most populated countries in the world, China and India! Two countries also belong to Europe: Russia and Turkey both have land in Europe and Asia. Asia is made up of around 2 300 languages. The continent covers one-third of the Earth’s surface.
My first visit to the continent was in the Phillippines and I had the impression I am in a different kind of world. But I immediately fell in love with the continent and wanted to explore more.
Backpacking is the most popular way to travel through the countries of Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia. Nevertheless, if backpacking is not an option for you, there are some luxury gems, especially in Bali or in Thailand, that you cannot even comprehend.
Nonetheless, bigger cities like Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong attract travelers from all over the world.
When in ASIA
YOUR TRAVEL GUIDE
Central Asia: is made up of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The region started to gain notoriety in recent years and I hear more and more travelers wanting to explore this region. It’s cheap and totally different than other parts of the world. Some of the most popular attractions are the gas crater known as the “Gate of Hell” and the cities of Uzbekistan’s ancient Silk Road.
East Asia: is made up of China, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Macau. It is one of the most traveled regions. More than 22% of the global population lives here. Here you can expect to find the most impressive natural and human-made wonders like Mount Fuji, Huangshan Mountain, and The Great Wall of China.
South Asia: is made up of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, and the Maldives. Only if you think of India, you understand that this is the most densely populated area in the world. Here you can expect to find the most impressive cultural heritage sites like the Taj Mahal and the Sigiriya Fortress.
Southeast Asia: is made up of 15 countries with the most popular countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
BEST HOTEL DEALS
Best Time to visit
The best of to visit this wide continent will depend on the region and what you wish to accomplish from your travel. Nevertheless, April to July is the best time to visit Asia as most visited countries register great weather. The tropical rainfalls are long gone, and sunny days are ready to expect visitors.
Asia is divided into three major climatic realms: Boreal Asia in the North, Desert Asia in the West and Center, and Monsoon Asia in the South and East.
When planning a trip to Asia is good to plan ahead, depending on the monsoon season. It varies from country to country, so it’s easy to pick a destination where the rain has yet to hit.
