SOLO TRIP ACTIVITIES FOR SOLO TRAVEL

I enjoy traveling with friends because there is a sense of belonging to a community, accessibility to some activities you wouldn’t do alone, and travel cost reduction, but, of all of the travel experiences I’ve had so far, some of my best memories end experiences are from my Solo Trips.
Why? Because when you Solo Travel, you are the most vulnerable, so you open up to what life will bring you. I don’t know, there is something so empowering and liberating about experiencing traveling on your own, that becomes like a drug.
If it’s your first time planning a Solo Trip, you should start with some places that are friendly for Solo Travelers and offer you countless adventures that will help you connect with other travelers.
Taking a Solo Trip is a fantastic way to know yourself deeper, reinvent yourself, be honest with yourself, and most importantly, do whatever you like at your own pace.
When you travel alone, you are the most vulnerable, as you can rely only on yourself. And being only with yourself 24/7 can be challenging for many of us. I was in the same situation. I always kept myself occupied when I was alone because I was so scared of facing ME, facing my inner self, and my own thoughts. Until someone told me that I don’t know how to be my best friend. It was like a train hit me. How, to be my own best friend? Is that a thing?
Well, let me tell you that it is a very real thing. And going by yourself, on a Solo Trip will help you accomplish that: becoming your own best friend. I started with baby steps, the first year when I moved to Paris. I suffered so much in my first year in Paris, being without my friends, as I could not do anything alone. I did not even go and explore Paris, my dream city, because I did not know how to do it on my own.
If I’ve managed to catch your attention and motivate you on taking a Solo Trip, here are my

Swimming with dolphins is a lifetime experience to get to meet those wonderful, intelligent creatures.
seaplane/boat ride, or helicopter flight
The best option is to have a full perspective of your destination, other than the one from your drone videos.
You could get some nice videos and pictures from above to die for and make your friends jealous.
BONUS: Fly in a Hot Air Balloon in Cappadocia
STAY AT A HOSTAL
A Hostal is a win-win in all areas. Allows you to stay on the budget for your travel expenses, this way you can travel even more, but most importantly, gives you the chance to meet fellow Solo Travelers and why not, hang out with them.
It all starts with grabbing food together and sightseeing.
WINTER GROUP ACTIVITIES
There are a few Winter Outdoor Adventures you can book to meet with locals, or tourists and learn a new hype activity.
You can take Ski classes, Snow Skating, Tobogganing, or snow tubing.
My favorite one, Skating, which you will find in almost each winter location.
join a book club or OPEN-AIR cinema
I am a Bookaholic, so for me, it’s very important to enjoy a nice reading while Solo Travelling. If you can find fellow travelers that love reading, go for it.
Not a Book fan? I got you covered. You can go to an Open Air Cinema, like in Santorini, to see Mama Mia in English.
PUT YOURSELF ON dating APPS
Yes, let’s talk the talk. Tinder or any other dating site can be a good way to meet locals or to have your local guide.
You could be surprised how sometimes you can find your Match or simply a good friend that will be more than happy to show you around and why not, keep in touch afterward.
