Singapore lies between Malaysia and Indonesia, with a total area of 693 sq km and a coastline of 193 km. It consists of one main island and several other surrounding islets. After its independence from the British, who founded modern Singapore as a trading colony in 1819, Singapore subsequently became one of the world’s most prosperous countries in the world and with a GDP per capita equal to that of the leading nations of Western Europe. Most of the urbanization is gathered along the southern coast, with relatively dense population clusters found in the central areas.

With a tropical climate – hot, humid, and rainy, Singapore has two distinct Monsoon Seasons:

1. Northeastern Monsoon (December to March)
2. Southwestern Monsoon (June to September)
3. There is also an inter-monsoon period (October to November) with frequent afternoon and early evening thunderstorms

Singapore is a year-round destination!

Nevertheless, the best time to visit Singapore is from December to June.
February to April have the least amount of rain, the lowest humidity, and the most sunshine.
While April is the warmest month of the year, January is the coolest month and November is the wettest month.
May in Singapore is hot and humid because of the equatorial weather during this time.
I’ve been in August to Singapore and is very hot and humid. The good thing is that outside there are not so many people, so you can walk freely in The Gardens by the Bay if you don’t mind the sun.
