TRAVEL GUIDE TO AFRICA
This is your ultimate travel guide to Africa!
If you ask me, Africa is the root of this world. Actually, Africa is a world of its own. Africa is more than Morocco or South Africa, or Zanzibar, with so many different cultures, and natural beauty that you have to see it to believe it.
So, from the deserts of Morocco to the pyramids of Egypt, from the Kenya bush to Victoria Falls, or South Africa, there’s an adventure waiting for you on each corner of the African continent!
Malaria and Yellow Fever: Travel Insurance is more than necessary when traveling to Africa. In sub-Saharan Africa, Yellow Fever is a real threat. If you don’t have the vaccination certificate, the airline and country can deport you. You need to inform your doctor exactly where you are going to give you the correct medication.

YOUR TRAVEL GUIDE
The African continent is so big and diverse, that we need to divide it into regions, to better explore it and understand its cultural differences.
Northern Africa: includes Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Western Sahara. The main language spoken is Arabic. Each country, especially in the region of Maghreb, has its own dialect. Someone from Tunisia will not understand the dialect of Morroco, for instance. They all speak literal Arabic and French is the second non-official language in the countries of Maghreb: Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco.
Islam is the dominant religion. This part of the continent is famous for its natural wonders like the Sahara Desert, the Nile River, the Red Sea, and the Atlas Mountains.
Central Africa: includes Cameroon, Central Africa Republic, the DRC, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Republic of the Congo, Sao Tome, Principe, and South Sudan. Because of the political instability, it is one of the least visited regions in the African continent. Some countries have almost zero tourist infrastructure.
Eastern Africa: includes some of Africa’s top safari destinations. Travel to Kenya or Tanzania to watch the Great Migration that takes place between July and September or trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Madagascar, Seychelles, Reunion, and Mauritius are great options for travelers looking for a luxury honeymoon. Uganda is an amazing place for wildlife and gorilla trekking.
Southern Africa: one of the most traveled regions in Africa for locals and international visitors. Includes Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Some of the most popular destinations: are Cape Town, Victoria Falls, Sossusvlei, Kruger National Park, and Chobe National Park.
Western Africa: includes Ghana, often called “Africa for Beginners”. Other popular destinations are Senegal, Gambia, Benin, and Cape Verde.
Connexion:
Africa has the lowest number of Internet connections—only 22 percent of the continent has access. Affordable and easily accessible internet in Africa remains a challenge in most countries mainly due to a lack of collaboration between nations and tech players.
Railroads: It is estimated that Africa only has 75K kilometers of rail, less than what China has on its high-speed railway. At 430 miles long, Mauritania Railway, nicknamed the “backbone of the Sahara,” boasts some of the longest and heaviest trains in the world.
Best Time to visit
The best time to visit Africa tends to depend on wildlife – with May to October being popular months. If you’re planning a safari trip to Africa, you should visit it during the dry season. From May to August you are sure to spot elusive creatures like lions and leopards.
In the north, the desert winters are chilly and the summers hot – spring and autumn are much more pleasant.
