Galungan And Kuningan

Galungan and Kuningan is a popular annual festival in Bali to honor the win of good over evil. Celebrated for ten days, the opening day is Galungan, which welcomes the deities on Earth and the closing day is Kuningan, which marks the ascending of Deities back to Heaven. It is one of the most appealing and enchanting religious festivals in Bali for spiritual rejuvenation.
Ogoh Ogoh Parade
Where: Puputan Square, Denpasar, Bali

The Ogoh Ogoh Parade or Ngerupuk Parade is a splendid event celebrated by the Balinese Hindus with drums and torches. The parade showcases the local tradition with artistically shaped monster dolls made up of paper, giant wood, and bamboo that represent the symbolic harmful societal. The monster dolls are burnt at the end of the celebrations to mark the end of negativity, therefore, purifying the environment.
