Last week it’s been an amazing journey into the Oriental Fashion for me, Fashionista in Paris. I had the pleasure to attend a front-row seat at the prestigious Caftan du Maroc, held at Four Seasons, George V, Hotel in Paris – the Fashion Capital. Last week, George V Hotel has become my second home, but what an amazing experience I’ve had.
This year, the new theme of Caftan du Maroc was ” La source ” (The Source) which gathered around 18 national and international designers, each of them presenting a breathtaking collection, breaking the traditional caftan design into a modern piece of art.
Fashion Designers, from Morocco, Algeria or United Arab Emirates, filled the podium with lovely dream art work of special designs, unique in colors and fabric:
Nisrine BAKKALI, Bouchra FILALI KSIKES, Siham El Habti, NADIA BOUTALEB, Loufa Naima Boufettass & FZ, Naoual MIRI, NOUZHA ELBOURY, FARAH BENCHEKROUN, Fatima Zahra BOUJIKI, Ilham KASSIMI, Mounia TAZI, Amal ELBAHRI, SARA ECHTOUKI, Finezine, Amina MAIDI EL KANABI, Rafael DORIAN, Inessaf BENISSA, Amine MRANI.
Each designer presented a mixture of colors combined on floating caftans in a bohemian yet modern style, bringing a little bit of oriental culture and tradition to Paris. The centerpiece of the Fashion Show has been the Moroccan caftan, known for the nobleness of its materials. We saw a melange of their bespoken pieces that revisited the cultural richness and complexity of each designer.
A gathering of celebrities and international personalities attended the event. It was all about luxury and refinement.
The shoes for the models were provided by LORIBLU, an Italian leading Brand in luxury shoes in Italy and worldwide. With a history of more than 40 years, LORIBLU is one of the most important “Made in Italy” realities, where love for beauty, absolute attention to quality and preciousness of the materials give life to DREAM SHOES.
